一.《中國(guó)學(xué)術(shù)》是由哈佛燕京學(xué)社資助、中外學(xué)者共同編輯、北京商務(wù)印書館出版的系列文輯,預(yù)定明年歲首開始出版,此后每換一季新出一輯,每輯篇幅約為25萬字,采用國(guó)際標(biāo)準(zhǔn)32開本,以70克米黃色紙精印。
二.《中國(guó)學(xué)術(shù)》的宗旨是:提升我國(guó)人文及社科的研究水準(zhǔn),推展?jié)h語世界的學(xué)術(shù)成就;增強(qiáng)文化中國(guó)的內(nèi)聚力,促進(jìn)中外學(xué)術(shù)的深度交流;力爭(zhēng)中文成為國(guó)際學(xué)術(shù)的工作語言,參贊中國(guó)文化現(xiàn)代形態(tài)在全球范圍內(nèi)的重建。
三.《中國(guó)學(xué)術(shù)》的下設(shè)欄目,不再視內(nèi)容而條分縷析,僅據(jù)文字格式劃分為“論文”、“書評(píng)論文”、“書評(píng)”和“通訊”四欄(必要時(shí)可臨時(shí)增減);論文篇幅亦循國(guó)際通例,不再?gòu)?qiáng)求長(zhǎng)短劃一,允許做到“有話則長(zhǎng)”。
四.《中國(guó)學(xué)術(shù)》的涉獵范圍,囊括人文及社科諸方面,但此二翼最好彼此滲透和互動(dòng),即人文研究指向社會(huì)問題,社科研究顯出人文視界,力爭(zhēng)以“人文與社會(huì)”為軸心,追求學(xué)科交叉和科際整合。
五.《中國(guó)學(xué)術(shù)》嚴(yán)格采取匿名評(píng)審制度,以追求公正和嚴(yán)肅性。評(píng)審的基本標(biāo)準(zhǔn)是,在詳實(shí)的基礎(chǔ)上有所創(chuàng)新,顯出作者既涵泳其間有年,又追思此類問題已久,以期在學(xué)風(fēng)浮躁的關(guān)頭,重新凸顯“撰寫論文”的本意。
六.《中國(guó)學(xué)術(shù)》的編審工作,在主編總體負(fù)責(zé)的前提下,由“學(xué)術(shù)委員會(huì)”和“編輯部”共同承擔(dān)。前者由海內(nèi)外知名學(xué)者組成,主要承擔(dān)評(píng)審工作;后者由大洋兩岸學(xué)術(shù)新銳組成,主要負(fù)責(zé)日常編務(wù)。
七.《中國(guó)學(xué)術(shù)》的稿酬標(biāo)準(zhǔn),從國(guó)家規(guī)定的上限每千字一百元起,視文章質(zhì)量、篇幅等情況向上浮動(dòng),最高不超過每千字兩百元。文章一經(jīng)發(fā)表即付潤(rùn)毫之資,其知識(shí)產(chǎn)權(quán)亦自動(dòng)歸屬商務(wù)印書館。
八.《中國(guó)學(xué)術(shù)》竭誠(chéng)征稿,并在匿名評(píng)審的擔(dān)保下一視同仁。編輯部將在收到稿件后,當(dāng)即向作者回函確認(rèn);并將在此后一月左右再次知會(huì),文章是否已通過初審、進(jìn)入匿名評(píng)審程序;一俟評(píng)審得出結(jié)果,自當(dāng)另函通報(bào)。
九.《中國(guó)學(xué)術(shù)》以中文印行,但來稿語種則不受限制,外語稿件如通過評(píng)審,可由作者自行翻譯,亦可由編輯部組織譯出。但作者無論以何種語言賜稿,即被視為自動(dòng)向編輯部確認(rèn)未曾一稿兩投,否則須為此負(fù)責(zé)。

Call for Submissions to China Scholarship |
1. China Scholarship is a journal to be published by the Commercial Press in Beijing at the beginning of the new millenium. Funded by the Harvard-Yenching Institute, and edited by a board of international scholars, it will be published four times a year, each issue containing approximately 250,000 words.
2. The goal of China Scholarship is to improve the quality of research in humanities and social sciences in China; promote the scholarly accomplishment of the Chinese speaking world; enhance the intellectual cohesiveness of Cultural China; and strengthen in-depth scholarly exchange between China and the rest of the world. It is our objective to make Chinese a working language for the international scholarly community, and to establish the contemporary reconstruction of Chinese culture in the global context.
3. Essays and articles, essay-length book reviews, book reviews, and scholarly news are the four categories under which submissions will be considered for publication. There is no limit on the length of submissions.
4. China Scholarship pursues a creative interaction between human and social sciences. It welcomes discussions in the humanities with a social relevance, and those in social sciences with a humanistic vision. Interdisciplinary work will be encouraged.
5. Two way anonymous peer review will be rigorously applied to all submission. Substantial research and intellectual creativity are the criteria according to which submission are reviewed.
6. The editorial work will be carried out jointly by a board of editors, consisted of younger generation scholars, and an advisory committee, constituted by the leading scholars in their respective fields. The editor in chief is responsible for the overall process of the editorial operation.
7. A contribution fee, in the range of 100 -200 RMB per 1,000 characters, will be paid to the contributor at the publication of the submitted text. The copyright belongs to the Commercial Press.
8. China Scholarship sincerely invites submissions and promises fair and timely review of each of the submission. The editorial office will acknowledge receipt of submission and inform the contributor within a month about the status of the submission after a preliminary review. Anonymous peer review follows, the result of which will be mailed to the contributor.
9. China Scholarship, though published in Chinese, welcomes submissions in all languages. Once accepted, a foreign-language submission will be translated either by the author him/herself or by the journal. However contributors must indicate that the text has never been submitted to any other journal.
